I build software that helps people.

I'm Austin Yang — a fifth-semester Software Engineering student at BINUS University, building full-stack products with NestJS, Next.js, and Supabase. I've shipped work for real clients, co-authored an IEEE paper, and I'm looking for an internship starting February 2027.

About me

A student who ships real work.

I'm a fifth-semester Software Engineering student at BINUS University, working mostly with NestJS, Next.js, Prisma, and Supabase. I like picking up whatever a project needs — lately that has meant Flutter, MQL4, and NLP research.

Most of what I know came from building for real people: freelance clients, teammates, and the users on the other end. I'm looking for a Software Engineering internship from February 2027 where I can learn from a more experienced team.

Four projects, plenty learned.

From class projects to a live marketplace — each one taught me something I carry into the next.

Problem

Students need income and real-world experience outside lectures, while small businesses need affordable help to keep costs down.

Solution

Built the whole product: a NestJS API on Supabase, Xendit escrow payments that release funds only when a job is done, and private file storage with time-limited links.

My contribution

End-to-end development — API, database, payments, deployment on Railway and Vercel, plus a Flutter app on the same API.

What I learned

How to handle money and sensitive files responsibly, and how one well-designed API can serve both web and mobile.

Skills

Why teamwork matters

I do my best work with people, not beside them.

I genuinely enjoy collaborating — with teammates and with clients. It's where I learn fastest and where the best ideas actually take shape.

Exchange ideas

Different perspectives make the solution sharper than any one of us could alone.

Learn from others

Every teammate knows something I don't — that's the fastest way to grow.

Handle differences

Weighing opposing opinions constructively, instead of avoiding them.

Build better together

Great products come from teams willing to learn from one another.

Learning journey

Still growing — on purpose.

I'm not the finished article, and I like it that way. Every project is a chance to learn, improve, and become a better developer.

Where I am

Fifth semester, with client work and a published paper behind me — and still treating every project as a lesson.

How I grow

Curiosity first. I pick up new tools by building real things and asking good questions.

Where I'm headed

Toward becoming a thoughtful software engineer who ships products that matter.

Future goals

Where I want to go.

Grow as an engineer

Sharpen my craft, one project and one code review at a time.

Build with innovation

Stay curious about new technology and the problems it can quietly solve.

Create real value

Work with talented people to make products that genuinely help users.

Contact

Let's build something together.

I'm always happy to talk about internships, projects, or just trade ideas. Drop me a line.
